• Free initial consultation and interview

This one-on-one meeting provides an opportunity for potential clients to ask questions and get to know the doula. At this time some of your preferences are shared and you determine if we are a good match.​​

• Comprehensive prenatal meetings prior to the birth

During these sessions, we will explore all aspects of your birth vision, develop a Birth Plan, and discuss all questions and concerns.

• 24/7 phone and email support

I am accessible via voice, message, and email to all clients for support, questions, or any concerns that may arise--day or night.

• Assistance in developing and honoring your birth plan

I will support the client in generating a physical birth plan based on their birth vision. I provide resources and examples that will assist them in this process. We will discuss options and detail any that need to be discussed with their care provider prior to the birth.

• Continuous presence throughout birth

Once in labor, I will join you at the place of birth or at home (based on birth plan and circumstances). I provide continuous support throughout the labor and birth incorporating comfort measures in accordance with your birth plan.

• Assistance in the immediate postpartum period

Following the birth, I will remain with you during the first 1-2 hours as you transition, bond, and initiate breastfeeding. I will be present to supply information regarding any postpartum or newborn procedures.

• Breastfeeding support

I will assist you with initiating breastfeeding in the immediate postpartum and assess the progress during the initial postpartum visit. I will offer suggestions to any challenges if present, and provide resources and referrals as necessary.

• Postpartum visit to review birth, get feedback, and provide necessary referrals

Within 2 weeks following the birth, I will visit you in your home. During this time we will review the birth. I will answer any questions and provide information and resources to assist in the postpartum and beyond.
